Young Pianist
of the Year
- Edith

prize of £100 and Hanna Classical Pianist Cup. 2nd
prize of £50 at the discretion of the adjudicator
Young
Instrumentalist of the Year
- Prize of £100 and Cyril Kemplay Memorial Challenge Cup.
2nd prize of £50 at the discretion of the adjudicator
The winners of all the above major awards will be expected
to perform at the Festival Showcase on May 19th
2012, when the awards will be presented by the Mayor of
Richmond upon Thames.
In default,
the awards may be forfeited.

THE VOCAL SECTION
Young Singer of the Year
- J.H. Stoakes Memorial trophy and prize of £100
with a 2nd prize of £50
Music tokens sponsored by
KENSINGTON
CHIMES MUSIC SHOP for
the Senior and Junior Recitals . Cash prizes for
Early Music, Lieder & English Song ( for adults)
In the
Stage Dance section
The
Young
Dancer of the Year -
The First prize will be £100 and £100 Vouchers with a runner-up prize of £50.
& £50 vouchers The winner will
also receive a trophy donated by the
Richmond Parish Lands Charity. All vouchers are donated
by Fourdance, Walton on Thames, who also give vouchers to
all the finalist in the Young Dancer of the Year competition
Young (Drama) Performer of the Year
First Prize will be
£100
with a r2nd prize of £50.
All the
above major awards are for performers aged between 13 & 21
years but there are other awards for older performers whom
we encourage to enter Richmond Festival.
Conditions
for entry to all of the above are given in the appropriate
section. There are also many other changes to the syllabus
with some new classes, trophies and venues. Please read
these carefully and any queries should be made before the
closing dates for entry to the appropriate section secretary.
The winners of all the above major awards will be
expected to perform at the Festival Showcase on May 19th when the awards will be
presented by the Mayor of Richmond upon Thames (in default,
the awards may be forfeited. ) PREVIOUS holders of the titles
of Young Dancer and Young Performer WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR
SELECTION TO THE FINALS IN 2012
but previous 2nd placed performers are eligible.
